Abstract

Science and technological these day expand swiftly which push the human to making decision as fast as in many fields. That becomes the very important factor for people who wish to keep abreast of the science and technological development in educational and wide job vacancy emulation. Computerization has one Purpose to assist people do and complish the task fast, practical and accurate. According to the technology development, Sahid University in Surakarta as a university with basically information technology. Develops its library information system by using visual basic 6.0 as a program language and data base SQL server 2000. It also user data modeling DFD and data dictionary to get barcode function in this system in order to do the library management processes easily. The system making is mainly for the member account data matters, book inventory, lend service borrowing and returning. The report making does not include the barcode matter and low is works because in this case barcode works the helping tool of input system. In the library application, there are processes done, such as the visitor interaction sever, windows shopping, or just filling the guest book. Another process of data maintaining by administrator is about books data protecting like aniseed books, broken books, and new book. The next processes are the services by officer in member signing up, book borrowing, and book returning by using computer media in the information services presentation, in the form of database usage in the managing and storing, data make the information searching, book data thesis, articles and even journals in the Sahid University library in Surakarta easies.
