Abstract

Career is continuous series of work activities and involve choices from various opportunities because individual interaction with organization and social enviroment influenced by some factor such as: genetic factor, environmental factor, learning factor and skills to resolve tasks and problems. This study aims to deeply understand about teachers role of guidanceand counseling in the studentcareerselection. This study is qualitative driscription research by taking background of the teachers’ role of guidance and counseling in the selection of student career in senior high school of Bhinneka Karya 3 Boyolali. Data collection is done by conducting interviews, observation and documentation. The informants in this study are teacher of guidance and counseling, and student. The result of this study show the teachers’ roleof guidance and counseling in providing career guidance to male students in Senior High School of bk 3 boyolali by doing : a. Guiding ang directing student recognize themselves, b. Provide information and direction about the profession according to students’ interests and talents, c. Provide continuous motivation to keep the students’passion until they are able to set up and realize their own future.
