Abstract

Interior Hall of Sri Maimoon Palace is a form of cultural expression in the form of work shaped decorative artefacts/ornaments. Ornaments Hall of Sri visualize motifs and patterns that have aesthetic value. Aesthetic value is greatly influenced by the cultural system to grow and develop in society. Therefore, this study aims to determine the motives and patterns of ornamentation and the influence of aesthetic values as an element of the interior on the walls of the Hall of Sri Maimoon Palace. The method of research are using qualitative method by documentation, interview and observation. The results showed that the interior of the Hall of Sri displaying ornaments dominated by motifs and patterns of ornamentation in the form of plants with tendrils of leaves and flowers (arabesque) and imaginative abstract motifs ornament pattern (geometric) form a pattern of stars and stripes as a symbol, reflecting the value Islamic aesthetics and culture influence the Middle East.
